Use it to terminate handrails against masonry or to fix tube structures to buildings.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRound wall flanges (131) are the simplest solution. Wall brackets with a plate (144, 145) and with a triangular flange (146) transfer higher loads.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eMaterial and finish\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEvery tube clamp fitting in our malleable cast iron range is cast to ASTM A197. Malleable cast iron is tougher than ordinary cast iron: it does not fracture in a brittle way but deforms under overload – for a component that holds a structure together, that is the decisive difference. The wall thickness is at least 2.5 mm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe surface is hot-dip galvanised to ASTM A153 and \u003cstrong\u003eadditionally electro-galvanised\u003c\/strong\u003e. Hot-dip galvanising forms a metallurgically bonded zinc layer that holds even on edges; the electro-galvanising adds an even, smooth surface on top. A \u003cstrong\u003estainless steel 304 (V2A) grub screw\u003c\/strong\u003e is supplied with every fitting – it will not seize outdoors and can still be released years later.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eTested safety\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe tube clamp fitting range is type-tested by TÜV Rheinland (test report no. 17704961 001). Bending moment and pull-out force were tested on at least three samples per type and load case; the permissible values include a safety factor of 2.0. You will find them with every item under “Technical data”. The tube clamp fittings are not suitable for use in scaffolding.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eSizes\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSix tube sizes are available: Ø 21.3 mm (1\/2\"), Ø 26.9 mm (3\/4\"), Ø 33.7 mm (1\"), Ø 42.4 mm (1 1\/4\"), Ø 48.3 mm (1 1\/2\") and Ø 60.3 mm (2\"). What always matters is the \u003cstrong\u003eoutside diameter of your tube\u003c\/strong\u003e.
